Mike Brown's Pub of the Week: The Humber Tavern in Paull, East Yorkshire

Howdy!
It's POTW time, and this time I've stopped for a bite to eat and a bevvy in Paull. Despite the village only having a small population, and being a single street until the 20th century, I was still spoilt for choice as there are actually 3 pubs in Paull, the Crown, the Royal Oak and the Humber Tavern. After studying, in detail, the food available in each stablishment, I chose to try out the Humber Tavern.

Mike Brown's Pub of the Week: The Haven Arms in Hedon, East Yorkshire

Howdy!
This weeks POTW is a real family pub in Hedon called The Haven Arms... but, the clever folk reading this will already have realised that from the title of the blog!
It was a miserable, cold and frosty Sunday morning, made twice as bad by the night before. Whilst thinking of cures I decided I needed a pick me up and what better than a hearty Sunday roast?

Mike Brown's Pub of the Week: Walters Bar in Hull, East Yorkshire

Hello you!
It's been a while, but in the run up to Christmas I thought I'd start up my pub of the week again, well I though you might need some ideas of places to celebrate in!
My first pub in this batch is the award winning Walters, a gem of a bar on Scale Lane in Hull's old town.
About Walters
The pub takes it name from a barber's shop which traded at the same premises in the 1820s, sometime later it became Venn brasserie where you could buy a tiny piece of steak for about 25 quid... and I was stupid enough to do so!

Support Mike on his cycling experiment from the west coast back to the east coast!

In aid of stroke charity Mike will cycle from Southport back to Hornsea within 5 days. He hopes to raise enough money to buy a new scanner for the hospital.
He will start off on Monday morning and is expected to be back on Friday. During that time he will give us all the information of his experiment, where he he is, what he is doing and most importantly how you can help making his experiment a great success.
You will get all the information you need by following our blog entries all week next week. We need you to support him!
