96 councils across the country backed the hard-hitting campaign that reminded lazy dog owners that ‘there is no such thing as the dog poo fairy’.

Keep Britain Tidy identified that dog fouling was a major problem after research showed that 70% of local authorities had a problem with dog mess in their area.

The findings also revealed that four out of five people didn’t know that dog bags can be thrown in any bin.
