Flooding report, scrapbooks, and chips

On this afternoon's show, Kirstie interviewed Paul Temple, Vice President of the National Farmers' Union, about the problems facing farmers in the area after the recent flooding. Paul gave his reaction to today's meeting between the NFU and the Environment Agency.
Katie shared her recent discovery of the world of scrapbooking, and spoke to Scrapbook Inspirations about it.
I spoke to Hugh Pidgeon at Haltemprice Sports Centre about a hill walking course running next week 10- to 16-year-olds. This is a full day in the North York Moors, and includes map reading skills, learning about the history and geography of the area, and a chance to cook outdoors. For more details or to sign up, call the sports centre on 01482 652501.
Some of our regular guests came by: Kempie to give us the report on last week's Hull City match, Dara to review newly released film Cloverfield, and Amos commiserated with me on next week's Black 14th, otherwise known as Valentine's Day.
And finally, next week is National Chip Week. I took a recorder down to a couple of takeaways in the area to get their tips on cooking the perfect chip.
