Withernsea Entertainers Present "Withernsea Tales"

The show will bring to life local history stories including the 300 year old murder of the vicar of Owthorn & the legend of Will `O Withernsea set in the early days of the town when it was nothing more than a small collection of white painted cobbled huts set close to the sea.

It also includes the heroic rescue of the Withernsea life boat crew returning from the boat show when the Kegworth air disaster unfolded in front of them.

There are the hilarious antics of the ‘machine gun boys' during WWII and find out what happens to a Victorian woman who was blown off Withernsea pier.

The show will take place on Saturday July 24th and Sunday July 25th at 6pm. Bring a picnic, some wine, although light refreshments will be available in the lighthouse and don't forget a brolly (just in case) & come & spend a summers evening with us.

Tickets will be on sale as from Monday 24th April at varying outlets in Withernsea, including the lighthouse, and will be priced at £4 adult £3 concession. Family tickets are available at £12. All proceeds will go to RNLI Withernsea and the lighthouse.
