Keep Fit with the Lardys

As you all may know by now, we are both doing exercise on prescription at our local gym at the Pavillion. Boy did we feel the pain this week (lol), starting off only doing 5 minutes on each machine (which believe it or not kills) and eventually as days go by, extra time will be added as well as extra work out machines. Determined to shape up for the summer (where's that chocolate bar lol). Monday is the start of our 3rd week and all ready the legs, arms oh bugger it, the whole body aches lol.

Yesterday was Valentine's Day, we have been together for nearly 19yrs and eventually we decided to go out for a romantic meal at the Crown & Anchor in Elstronwick. The Valentine's meal that was originally booked was changed due to the landlord becoming ill (not food poisoning lol), so they put on their bistro menu instead. The meal was outstanding yet again (did go there for the studio's Christmas meal).

We both had the thick veg soup to start, then Paul had the mixed grill, there was that much he couldn't finish it (hard to believe you all say lol), And I had the tuna pasta bake Mmmmmmmmmmm (still a lot to finish and no I didn't lol). Paul couldn't face a sweet after but me... Of course a woman can make room for.......profitta rolls (or however you spell it) with hot chocolate sauce to pour over, boy was I stuffed.

All Paul wanted to do was go to sleep then, typical male, but that wasn't to happen. We called at the Seaside FM studio to see Dave and John. On leaving the studio we bumped into my brother-in-law David who had travelled all the way over from Bradford with his wife Karen to see us, so that did make a brilliant night come to a brilliant end.

Going back to our show Seaside Sound, here's some of next weeks guests:

  • Monday - John Chadwick from the Withernsea emergency volunteers
  • Tuesday - Neil, who is the Community Safety Officer for Humberside Fire Brigade
  • Wednesday - John Wilson From the gym, Pavillion centre (our gym instructor)
  • Thursday - Paul Conwell from Business Link
  • Friday - Steve Robinson

If you know of anybody who has something interesting to talk about and would like others to hear or get involved, please get in touch with us on 01964 611427.
