On air now: Non-Stop Seaside FM
Sunday is Funday!

Howdy all!
Just me again, bloggin' about my usual Sunday shenanigans...
My day started at around 10ish, yeah I know thats late but I'm entitled to a lie-in at least once a week aren't I!?
Once I've got my kit together for the show, I leg it for the number 75 bus, It must look a bit strange some guy getting on the bus with a massive holdall. Still, there is nothing more strange than the people on the bus.
Firstly, the bloke he gets on for one stop. Mind you he is carrying rather a lot of weight, he'd probably lose a bit of that excess baggage if he walked...lazy get! Then there's the bag lady, I call her that because she gets on with a lot of erm...bags! This week there was a young girl who got on with 5 kids. Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against young mothers, but she could not control them and judging by the state of them, look after them properly either. Now, I'm sorry to get on my soapbox about this but it really winds me up, all I can think about is how those kids are going to turn out when they're older?
Anyway, The Mike Brown Radio Show this week was an enjoyable affair, but then again it always is!
I was watching the Seaside FM website blog page (the one with all the blogs on it, not just mine) during the first hour of the show, and every time I plugged my blog, the page count went up! OK, there is nothing ground breaking about that, but it was nice to know that people are actually taking the time to read these things! So, thank you, whoever you are!
My guest yesterday was the very talented James Christopher, he told me all about the comedy night he runs up in York and his new job as host of the Carnival 69 comedy night at Durty Nellies. Now, James is possibly the tallest guest we've had in the studio, so in order to not look ridiculous standing next to him, I stood on a chair for the obligatory photo.
Mel & Martin, who are the brains behind the Carnivale 69 Comedy night also popped in for a chat about future events. Seeing as they're ever so nice to me and let me into the gig for free, I let them plug the event. They told me that Scarlet Light's Theatre Company, Masked Dan, Mike Newall & The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre will all be performing on the same bill that very night.
I actually went to the gig last night and saw all four acts, and they didn't disappoint. If you like a laugh then Carnivale 69 is for you, they hold a night every month. The next gig features Paul Foot and support from Dan Bland. Tickets are a fiver in advance, which you can get by calling (01482) 225212.
It's now Monday morning, and I can tell I enjoyed last night because I'm hungover! I'm sat at my desk drinking lots and lots of water, which is great for rehydration, but rubbish if you actually want to get any work done as you end up visiting the toilet more than you'd like. In fact, I'm busting so I'm off!
Have a good week and I'll catch you Sunday.
Take care, Mike (from The Mike Brown Radio Show) x
P.S My guests this week are 'Cracktown'. This Hull based duo will chatting to me and playing some of their material on the show.
