I would like to say morning to everyone on this blustry Tuesday.

We have had some brill days since my last blog. We went to see Sandi Thom at the Lamp in Hull, what an excellent night. She's definitly better live than on cd, it was a packed night (literally full of students, I felt old lol). We went along with 2 other radio presenters, Mike Brown and Big Si, halfway thru the night as Sandi Thom came on stage, the tallest bloke you can imagine went and stood directly in front of Si, we nicknamed him Lurch. But as soon as she sang her famous song 'Wish I was a punk rocker, with flowers in my hair' they disappeared, So Si did see some of the concert. We had actually gone in the first place to support Dave Abbott who was Sandi's suppot artist and he was good, (waiting for his album lol). If you get chance to see Dave then do, you will be singing and tapping away to his own written songs.

Then at the end of that week we were invited to go see a play at the Hull Truck Theatre, to watch 'Honeymoon Suite'. It was the first time I have been to the theatre and will definitly go back again. The play consisted of some well known actors, they protraid 3 different stages of a marriage revisiting the same room in a Bridlington hotel. We were abit confused at first as it wasnt just one couple but three, all playing the same couple at the stages of the honeymoon, 25 yrs in the marriage and then 63 yrs in.

Also had another excellent night out on saturday just gone at the Tracey Atkins Fund 80s disco, did we have a good time or what lol. Even Paul got upto dance to the timelord, oh no you all cry lol.
Me and Paul did the bit of dj'ing in the middle of the night and got everyone up dancing, of course with the much needed help of Martin, but at one stage I was left all alone, Martin had disappeared for more music and Paul was dancing lol. Took some photos to which Ill be emailing to Martin so soon hopefully you will be able to see them.
It was after 1am before we got home.

Just on my last note, I would like to inform Martin that it is our sons birthday party not daugthters lol. Martin will be helping Paul set up the disco gear for our sons 9th birthday party next month. Paul is looking forward to dj'ing his first party, Ill be busy trying to stop the kids from getting to giddy lol, will need a stiff pot of tea afterwards lol. Robbie-Paul (our son) has invited 20 friends so far.
