Mike Brown meets Fine 69
This is me with East Yorkshire's "sleazy indie rockers", Fine 69.
Kenny, Kev, Kieran, and Kalvin came down to Seaside FM for a chat and to play some acoustic tracks live on The Mike Brown Radio Show.
They told me how they'd got bored of watered-down indie music and realised there was room for some dirty rock n roll, so they formed Fine 69.
The lads first gig was at The New Adelphi Club in Hull on Thursday 24th May, since then they have performed at many venues across East Yorkshire, including The Spread Eagle, and Eldons in Withernsea and Retro, Linnet & Lark, The Springhead in Hull.
Fine 69 released the "Love, Lust, & Affection EP" on 12th October 2007, of which they left me a copy, which I have played on the show several times and will continue to do so as it's actually very, very good!
In November 2007, Fine 69 came first in a Battle of the bands in Hull, and went on to come in 5th place in the United Kingdom when they performed in Manchester.
The band plan to release another CD and go on a tour, so in my opinion this is the band to watch!
