On air now: The autopilot
Beware: The Night Bus!

Howdy!
Details of this weeks show coming up, but first I have something that I need to get of my chest! That makes a change I hear you cry!!!
OK here goes... I was working late all of last week, and by late I mean until 11.30pm which isnt the most sociable hour to be working until. It also begs the question how am i going to get home after that? Well, on a Friday and Saturday there is a Late Night bus service, problem solved? Nope!
In Hull, weve just had a brand spanking new 'interchange' built, I tried calling it a bus station to a bus driver the other day but I was instantly put down, "bus station? whats that" said the cocky bus driver!! Anyway, so as so much money has been spent on this 'interchange' you'd think that the buses would actually depart from it? Wrong again.
Last week After leaving the pub, I had to decide were i was going to try and catch the next bus, well i knew it didnt leave from the STATION but i did know the route it took so i made my way up to Holderness Road, eventually deciding to wait at a stop outside of 'some sort of social club. Opposite me was a Chinese and within minutes of me standing there a fight breaks out actually in the chinese, now while this was going on not 1 but 2 police cars went passed, did they notice? Its another no i'm affraid, fills you with confidence doesnt it??!!
I was at the bus stop for 45 minutes, and eventually it turned up. I along with around 30 middle aged drunkards who all got on, each one in turn saying to the bus driver "ONE POUND FIFTY?!! HOW MUCH!!!" as if it was the funniest thing in the world! Obviously because nobody had any money ready and they were all out of their tiny minds it took about 10 minutes before the bus set off, and when it did everbody started cheering, a bit like when youve been on a plane and land and everybody cheers out of relief of actually making it. So, after a few minutes of the driver driving too fast over speed bumps somebody drops their kebab on the floor followed by somebody throwing up, at this point im really loving the night bus!!
I had the misfortune of sitting oposite a commoner who used the 'C' word more than Chubby Brown, I think it was her term of affection for her husband as it seemed to be aimed at him, not that he was bothered, he was asleep!!
When i got to my stop, the bus driver said "alright Mike", it turns out that he used to live near me and we used to knock around together. Now, I could either say what i thought of the night bus or i could just smile, be polite and ask what he'd been up to?.....at that time of night, I opted for the latter.
