On air now: The autopilot
Mike Brown meets James Christopher
This is me (stood on a chair) with James Christopher (who isn't).
This pic was taken when James Christopher came to the Seaside FM studio to talk about hosting the Carnivale 69 comedy night in Hull.
James also told me about how he started out and his own comedy club at the Black Swan in York. The night know as "Black Comedy" originally ran Monthly from October 2006, but the gig went fortnightly in February 2007 due to it's popularity. He also now runs 1331 Comedy in York, and The Smirking Room at Leeds Adelphi as well as being MC at various venues around the North.
Not only does James perform in Hull, York and Leeds, but he has also been seen at The Edinburgh Fringe, The Comedy Store Manchester, Buzz in Beverley, Funny Bones in Newcastle, Horsforth College, St John’s University, Leeds University and Stratford Theatre in London to name but a few!
As well as the comedy thing, he is also a keen writter and reviewer, and has previously co-hosted on the community radio station Sheffield Live! 93.2 FM.
I couldn't help but notice that James' hair looked a little ginger, this has been a running joke between me and James ever since!!
