On air now: The autopilot
The world has gone mad!

Howdy!
I really enjoyed myself yesterday, sometimes I feel like I've enjoyed it maybe a little too much! The show was a specially extended one and ran from 12 until 6pm which is just as well as there was way too much to cram into just 4 hours!
Ron from the Withernsea Entertainers came in to talk about the groups latest show that they're going to be putting on at the Jack Gledhill Centre on Queen Street in Withernsea. He told me that this time around that they're going to be performing a comedy variety show which will run over the last weekend in June. Tickets will cost just £4.00 and are available by calling (01964) 614860. Ron will be calling in again on Wednesday (along with the secretary of the group) to talk to Philip Jayson. Good luck to everyone from Withernsea Entertainers, I hope the gigs go with a bang!
As I knew the weather was due to bad, I thought It'd be a good idea to get some traffic & travel on the show, just to make sure everything in the area was OK. So, thanks to James Kay from trafficlink for bringing us the latest on the roads. Unfortunatly, the snow didn't keep the caravan's off the road. I managed to get stuck behind four of the things on the way into Withernsea! Because of this, I have decided that all caravan's should be banned from the roads at peak times in order to leave the roads free for us people who have to be somewhere.
As this angered me so much, I googled the word's "BAN" and "CARAVAN'S" and came across this: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/caravansatnight/ and I'd like you to sign it!
We then had a round of "Radio Err..", my new competition were all you have to do is tell me how many "err's" there are in a clip, easier said than done believe me! I got my mate Dan to have a go first to test the water, he said 47 and was wrong. Next on the line was James from Rimswell who said 68 and was also incorrect! Next week, I'm adding a Seaside FM mug to the prize fund and I will be adding something everyweek until someone win's the lot!!!!
My main guests yesterday were Frank Wylde, Harvey Fox, Rob Ellwood and Jonny Harper from Sworn Amongst. The band told me about there tour and the release of the new album "and so it begins".
It has been known that certain metal groups can tend to use... shall we say "extreme" lyrics I thought it best to play safe "radio friendly" tracks. So, the songs featured on the show were "And So It Begins", "Herodotus", "Rejection" and "Unleash The Power".
In order to attend one of their gigs I thought I'd better ask them some tips on "moshing", I was told that only the hardcore fans that did the moshing and that it surprises them how many different walks of life actually turn up to their concerts.
Talking of moshers, a guy got on the bus this morning. He had jet black hair, all black clothing and those massive boot type things. Now, what do you suppose he was listening to on his IPOD? Goatwhore? Vomit Remnants? Necrophobic? Extreme Noise Terror? Prostitute Disfigurement? (these are all real band names by the way!), maybe Pantera or Megadeath? Nope. He was listening to "A B C" by The Jackson 5!!! It seemed a bit out of place hearing a young Michael Jackson singing "Girl, I think I love ya! Shake it, shake it, baby, ooo oooh!
A B C, easy as 1 2 3, do ra mi" coming out of this guy's headphones, it just wasn't right! What's next? Teenybopper's playing Iron Maiden?! Chav's playing Billy Ocean?!
On this week's show, the usual bits in the usual places, plus another round of our exciting new competition "Radio Err.." were you can win the latest "Now" album and stuff!
I'll also be chatting with local musician Ronson Kiplin. Ronson started playing music back in 1997 and soon after won a grant from the Prince's Trust to set up a home recording studio.
I'm not really sure what to expect from Ronson as he says his influences come from the like's of Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Oasis, Pink Floyd, Madness, Free, The Who, Paul weller, Happy Mondays, Deep purple, Neil Young, The Door's, Stone Roses, White Stripes, John Lennon, Charlatans, Beck, Small faces, Primal Scream, Razorlight, New Order, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Pattie Smith, Talking heads, Bruce Springsteen, Nivarna, Foo Fighters, Led Zeplin and The Verve to name just a few!!
Surely that's just everybody? We'll ask him about that on Sunday!
The world has gone mad!!!
Join me Sunday at 2 on Seaside FM 105.3 for more madness!
