Meetings, Mineral Water & The Show This Week!

Howdy!

Just got time for a quick catch up as I've noticed I've not blogged since last week.

Saturday was the day of the big Seaside FM presenters meeting and it was great to see so many of them in the same place at the same time. People may think that we all see each other all of the time but as we all present on different days and live in different areas it's hard to get everyone together. We were given the lowdown by the boss about our future plans and how well we've done so far, it's always nice to have a pat on the back isn't it? After the meeting, we all legged it to the nearest boozer for a bit of a chinwag, gossip and general mucking around over a pint or seven, obviously as I don't drink I stuck mineral water!

All the usual suspects were there, Martin Pritchett, Ben Pipes, Paul Gray, Big Dave Kitch, Paul & Donna Ashworth and Smifffy...even Owain Wood came down for a swift one before the start of his Saturday Sports show.

We had a great time and it just goes to show that if you plan something it doesnt happen, where as if you act spontaneously you end up having a good time! Now, I'd love to tell you some more details of what we got up to on that Saturday Afternoon, but it would probably incriminate certain members of the Seaside FM team, certain members of the public and a dodgy DVD man, so moving on!.....

Sunday was the day of the show and due to the day before I was feeling a little erm..rubbish! The show was a good laugh and I managed to get a few of the classics in. We also had another round of the non award winning radio version of how many sweets are in the jar called "Radio Err..". Still no winners on the quiz, which is good for you but not so good for the Seaside FM prize cupboard as it means that we will be adding yet another prize into the prize fund. So, to be in with a chance of winning "Now That's What I Call Music 69", "Wingspan - The Best of Paul McCartney & Wings" and something else listen to the show this Sunday!

By the way, thanks to Paul Ashworth & Dave Kitch for the match reports from the Hull K.R and Bradford Bulls game at Craven Park, good stuff boys!

Monday, Tuesday and Today I've been hard at work (?) doing my 'proper' job! Although, obviously, in my head I'm planning this weeks programme. On the show will be Andy from a brand new local band called 'Dr. Jeckll's Secretary' who will be picking the music after 2 and also we'll have Chris Mayo down the phone just before he takes to the stage at his gig in Hull. So join me for this and a whole load more this Sunday between 2-6pm.

Thanks for clicking on my blog.
Have a good week, Mike.
