Falling, Guesting and Holidaying - This week on the Blog

Good Afternoon.

How are you all on this wet Friday afternoon? Like that is it? Fair enough.

Firstly my apologies for not blogging last week, I've decided it can be used as a verb, if you heard the show on Sunday you will already be aware of the reason, but for those of you who missed out, I moved house last week. I now live in a lovely house, rather than a small flat. I would heartily recommend it to all. But please accept my apologies for not blogging, it won't happen again. Until next week when I'm on holiday, but apart from that it won't happen again.

This week I have been down in London, seeing Elbow at the Brixton Academy and visiting a few mates around and about. I also managed to embarrass myself in a clothes shop by falling up the stairs on the way into the changing rooms. Annoyingly there was a gentleman there, staring at me, who gave me that "What are you doing?" look, usually reserved for teachers and Mums. There is another falling over story from yesterday, but I'll save that until the show next week, don't want to spoil you too much today with stories of my clumsiness do I?

In a few weeks time on the show, May 4th (Star Wars day) to be precise, we have a young, talented singer called Lauren Stephens coming into to play a few songs and pick a track that means something to her. As you have probably noticed, we don't often do guests on the programme so when we get one on, it's safe to assume they're someone we like and really want to have on. You have my word it'll be good.

I'm afraid I'm off again this weekend, holiday time. tune into the show anyway for a bit of a treat. It will be a good one and if I wasn't going to be 35,000 feet in the air, I'd tune in too.

That's that then. Thanks for you're time and all your nice emails and texts about the music last week as well, they really do mean a lot. Also congratulations to Emily Atkins who won the Feeder CD on the show last week. Meaning that the Atkins clan become the first family to have two different winners on Not Quite The Missing Words Quiz, not much of a boast I'll grant you but it's something none the less.

See you next Sunday at 10.

Keep on keeping on.
