Complaints, Nothing and Hail - This week's Blog!!

Well hello. I'm back, in case you thought the show on Sunday was some kind of fancy pre-record, it wasn't and I'm here.

I got back from Abu Dhabi, thanks to Mike for his Blog last week by the way - never a truer word spoken, late on Saturday so I expected the show to be a little ropey if I'm honest, but it wasn't - even if I do say so myself - and from the volume of emails and texts we got in I'm hoping I wasn't the only one who thought that. Although I've been wrong before......

It was a particularly enjoyable show, I think due to the level of phonecalls and emails that were coming in, including my first complaint, which was nice. Relating to an apparently inaccurate weather forecast - firstly I've never set myself up as Michael Fish, but more importantly, I was right about the sun going in and it not turning out to be 'beach weather.' So there!

Anyway, this week has been a fairly quiet one. Just a horrible back to normal type of week where you get over the giddyness of a great holiday, and return to earth with a bump. There has also been no clumsy falling over, or camel judging to keep me occupied so it really has been very uneventful. I'm sure I'll come up with something to talk about on Sunday though so don't panic. I am going to visit my brother in Durham tomorrow and then probably seeing Forgetting Sarah Marshall at the cinema at some point too - I know it's got Russell Brand in it but despite that it looks good, and the fat lad from Knocked Up is in it too, which will hopefully negate any Brand-effect.

As always, I'd like to know what you have been up this week and also what, if anything, you have learnt since the last programme. daveonseasidefm@hotmail.co.uk for those and anything else that you fancy getting in touch about. Jokes seem to be a particular favourite at the moment so they will as ever be gratefully received.

That's it for now, see you on Sunday (Star Wars day!!), when it is just me. My guest Lauren Stephens has had to postpone but she will appear at some point soon, I promise. Which means it's just me and you once again. I've been CD shopping this week so expect a few things you've not heard for a while, and a few old favourites too.

See you later Alligator.

Dave x

ps - As I write this, there are hailstones hitting the window - It's May tomorrow!
