- E.ON to consult with local community after submitting planning application for wind farm off the Yorkshire coast
- E.ON invites local communities to discuss planning application and share views at public exhibitions
- E.ON, one of the country’s leading green generators, has today announced it is holding a series of meetings with the local community after submitting a planning application to build a 300MW offshore wind farm 8km off the coast of East Yorkshire, just north of the Humber estuary.
- The proposed Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm would have up to 83 turbines and generate enough clean, renewable energy to power up to 195,000 homes – more than one and a half times the number of homes in Hull.
- Not only will this scheme put East Yorkshire at the forefront of the UK’s effort to reduce carbon emissions, it will help ensure a secure, reliable and clean supply of electricity for families and businesses across the region.
