Penguins, diets and Robert Downey Junior - This weeks Blog!!!

Good Afternoon (assuming of course you're reading this in the afternoon and that it's not the first thing you check when you turn the computer on, bleary eyed at quarter to 9 in the morning. "Yes, he's updated it, look. Forget the Rice Krispies, come over here")

Well, it will all be back to normal this week I think and the dream Sunday line-up will return. Wake up to Andy, followed by 4 full hours of me and then Mike and his radio show taking you through to 6oclock. Sounds alright doesn't it.

I do need to say a quick hi and thank you to Laura and her Penguins who has been saying some very nice things about the show and even the Blog (still sticking with the capitals.) If you would like to get in touch and say similarly nice things, or even some horrible ones - part of me prefers them - then feel free to email daveonseasidefm@hotmail.co.uk at your leisure, and who knows. You may even get a mention in the weeks to come.

Fairly busy week for me, I saw The Mystery Jets in an excellent gig on Monday, went to the pictures to see Iron Man yesterday, which is better than the trailers suggest, particularly because Robert Downey Junior was in it. And tonight I'm off to see Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, who I have given a fair bit of airtime to over the last few weeks and if previous gigs are anything to go by, this one should be an excellent gig too. So there you go.

Interspersed with that has been a lot of talking about Penguins, for no particular reason it must be said, and a certain amount of avoidance of the gym - I will explain more on Sunday but the gist of it is that the diet I was talking about going on a few weeks is off to a less than glorious start. Let me know how yours are going by the way if you were one of the people who got in touch a few weeks back. I'd like to know how you are doing, if for no other reason than you will be doing better than me so that'll make you feel good about it. Having said that, a friend of mine told me I looked very thin yesterday, I was pleased initially then it occoured to me that this friend lives in Ecuador, and is friends primarily with Americans. So basically I think she means I look thin compared to what she is used to. Which does take the edge off it somewhat.

We'll also be talking about Scarecrow festivals and whether there is ever an excuse not to flush the toilet after use. There isn't by the way.

That's it, usual stuff on Sunday. Motown Half Hour, Not Quite the Missing Words Quiz, Question of the Week and a new idea that we'll be chatting to Mike Brown about. Oooooooooo exciting, eh!?

Hope this finds you well.
