Howdy!

What's all this with my producer doing my blog?! The cheek of it!
Anyway, welcome to more nonsense from The Mike Brown Radio Show, are you ready? OK, here we go....

BIG BROTHER 9 NEWS

Love it or loathe it, Big Brother returns to Channel Four on June 5.

It'll be the 9th series of the reality show and I've got to be honest, I'm a bit of an addict of the show and I get called every name under the sun for admitting it! I just find it a great experiment into people's behavior, it's just a shame that it's been dragged through the dirt in recent years after the race row and vote rigging incidents. The 'desperate to be a celebrity' types don't do the show any good either, luckily most of them disappear into oblivion afterwards!

I've heard that the house has been rebuilt again this year and some of the walls are padded (how appropriate!) and are slanted, facing inwards.

For the first time in 3 years there are only going to be single beds, 8 in total, although it has been rumored 16 housemates are to enter on the launch night!

Listening to BBC Five Live t'other day, they said that one of their reporters was used as a guinea pig for one of the opening tasks.

Apparantly, Big Brother is going to starve the housemates and then give one housemate a mountain of food. For every item that person eats, the rest of the housemates get less of a shopping budget. Cruel, but very entertaining I'm sure you'll agree.

So, from 9pm on this Thursday watch The Big Brother Launch Show with Davina McCall, follwed by The Big Brother Launch Night Project with Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr.

WHAT I'VE MOSTLY BEEN GETTING UP TO NEWS

Last night I had the pleasure of going to watch a load of stuffy old politician types argue on Question Time! Last nights programme came from the Drilll Hall in Lincoln. I didn't get to sit in the audience so I wasn't really in view of any cameras, although with the assistance of a bright pink shirt I was visable for a few seconds on BBC1. They actually sat me behind the cameras at the back of the stage with the friends of the guests and some VIP types which was great as we got to see how the whole show was made and how each specific camera angle was chosen.

Actually, I've just that on the BBC Question Time website there is a page were you can suggest a place for them to visit. I thought it would be a great idea for them to visit Withernsea so that we could all voice our concerns on coastal erosion, flooding and the fact that the area is always forgotten about !!! CIDER NEWS

Whilst on my travels, I noticed that there is a Beer Festival taking place in Barton on Humber (just over the Humber Bridge) Today and Tommorow. I believe it's been organised by Proudfoots Supermarket, didn't we used to have one of those in Withernsea? Anyway, if you fancy going along to it click here or call 01652 634267.

As I reported in my last blog, The Station Hotel in Patrington are now proud stockists of Real Cider, hurrah! The landlord is selling Orchards Wye Valley Medium Cider which is around 6% and very nice! If you like your Cider or even if you want to try something different from alcoholic beverages that taste like a urine sample then get down to The Station Hotel on Station Road in Patrington and ask for a pint of Real Cider! Call them on 01964 630262 or just call in and enjoy this great local pub anyway!

I'll talk to you some more on the wireless this Sunday after Dave Rymer and before Tom Robinson.
