Whoa! I'm going to Barbados!

The Mike Brown Radio Show

....no not really, but I am taking a break for a while after this week. I'll let you know more about that in a minute.

Howdy!

Welcome to your regular dose of The Mike Brown Radio Show during the week courtesy of my online blog ramblings.

Firstly, I'd like to thank Paul Ashworth & Will Smith for reporting from Odsal and from the Young Farmers Show on last weeks programme. I always try to make room to keep people in the picture of what's going on out there in the big wide world and it's nice to have people who are willing to do that for the show.

Also, after my 'blink and you'll miss it' appearance on Question Time last week, some of the other Seasiders are seeking the same dizzy heights of fame! Firstly, our very own, 'Wicky-Wicky-Wah-Wah' Will Smith managed to get infront of the cameras whilst Janet Street-Porter was filming in North Yorkshire for The F-Word, which is on Tonight at 9pm on Channel 4, Will's the one with the young one with the blonde hair, not the gobby one with big teeth.

Then after Dave Rymer told me that he was going to see Paul McCartney in Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, I thought I'd better watch the gig on telly. Other than the awful camera shots that BBC2 put out, It looked quite a good concert actually with Macca (minus the one legged money grabber) performing all the classics from "Live and Let Die" to "Hey Jude". Personally, I'dlike to see him perform "We All Stand Together" with The Frog Chorus, remember that?! Click here to watch it on you tube if not!!! Anyway, I'm not sure if I say Dave on TV or not, what I did see was some guy who looked a bit like Craig David and I know Dave can sometimes look a bit like him and at the end of the concert Paul McCartney did say thankyou to Dave, I wasn't sure if it was our Dave that he meant or Dave Grohl from The Foo Fighters who did a spot of Drumming for Macca.

Talking of telly, I've been watching the auditions for Big Brother 9 on E4 over the last few nightsand it looks like were actually install for a load of nutters come Thursday Night when it starts for real. Every year I hope the producers will stick some 'normal' people in the house and return to how the programme used to be before all the fame seekers latched onto it but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. See for yourself, Thusday at 9pm.

Before I go, I just wanted to say thanks for your support over the past 9 months. Whether you've listened or read the blogs, I want you to know that I appreciate it. I know this sounds a bit like a leaving speech but I assure you it's not, sorry about that! I am merely having a break which will start at 6pm after this Sunday's show for 2 whole weeks. So, l shall be back, bright eyed (depending on hayfever) and bushy tailed (not sure what that means?) on June 29th.

I'll talk to you more this Sunday between 2-6pm on Seaside FM, so lend us yer ear's me dears!

Mike.
