It was the 100 minute launch of Big Brother on Friday night did you watch it? Davina seemed enthusiastic as usual, but I get the feeling she was told to hurry up as her links seemed to get shorter and shorter the longer the show went on!

The First four to enter the house were Mario & Lisa (who entered together, as a couple), Luke and Stephanie. Here's a bit about them...

Mario Marconi is a 41 year-old I love myself type. Infact he loves himself so much that he changed his name from Shaun to Mario to match his image and he claims to have slept with over 200 women!

40 year-old Lisa Appleton (his missus) is a former bodybuilder and a fitness and health fanatic. She also possesses breast implants, which were bought for her by Mario.

Stephanie McMichael is 19 and was disqualified from ITV's 'Popstars: The Rivals' for being too young. She gives herself a ten out of ten for just about everything, I hate people who love themselves don't you?

Then we have 20 year-old Luke Marsden from Wigan, an odd character who doesn't smoke, drink, do drugs or swear. He's a student and part-time pro-wrestling announcer, no really! He is a proud supporter of the Conservative Party and likes to wear suits!

On Friday night, they were given a task. Stephanie, Mario, Lisa and Luke had to hide the relationship between Mario and Lisa, who both entered the house as a couple. In order to keep there romance a hidden Stephanie and Mario have to pretend to be a couple. Failure to successfully complete this mission would result in an automatic nomination of all four of them.

Last night, Mario was pushed by BB to propose to Stephanie, and if that wasn't enough, Big Brother later announced that it would host their wedding! BB said "Before Mario entered the Big Brother House, Big Brother was aware that he would propose to Stephanie, as a consequence, Big Brother has the honour of announcing that a wedding will take place in the Big Brother House this Sunday." Shaun, sorry I mean Mario has already chosen his best man. Mikey will be holding the ring during the ceremony which will take place Tommorow.

Here's how the Daily Star reported the news of the fake wedding: "THREESOME SECRET OF BB BABES - Sex shock as bedding ends with a wedding". The first paragraph reads "Big Brother hunk Mario Marconi is at the centre of a raunchy love triangle in the TV house. Mario, 42, has wooed and won, hot blonde Stephanie McMichael, 19, in the love game. But it is Lisa Appleton he wants to bed. And Big Brother has a reality TV first lined up for the saucy trio - a shock double wedding."

Isn't it amazing how these newspapers blow everything out of proportion? Why do they feel the need to Sensationalise stories and fill them with sex? Personally, I think it's just lazy journalism and most of the paper is good for one thing and that's wrapping my Pattie & Chips up with.

Anyway, back to Big Brother, I should probably tell you who the rest of the housemates are. In no particular order they are, Alexandra De-Gale (23), Dale Howard (21), Darnell Swallow (26), Dennis McHugh (23), Jennifer Clark (22), Michael 'Mikey' Hughes (33) who is blind, Mohamed Mohamed (23), Rachel Rice (24), Rebecca Shiner (21), Rex Newmark (24), Sylvia Barrie (21) and Kathreya Kasisopa (30).

I'm surprised that they are a mostly young bunch this year, I was expecting a bigger mix, a lot of the young girls seem to have similar backgrounds. Last year was an interesting combination, hearing what Carol thought of the "youth of today" was always good for a laugh!
