Mike Brown meets Dr Jekyll's Secretary

This is me with two members... of local band 'Dr Jekyll's Secretary'.

Bob (he's the one who likes his beer) and Andy (he's the one with a purple goatie) popped into the studio to tell me about their new band and to encourage people to support them at there first gig together.

The guys explained how they'd all been in bands before and wanted to carry on performing, hence the new band - 'Dr Jekyll's Secretary'. However, this time round they wanted to put on a show and were planning to dress up as their alter egos of Dr. Jekyll, Dr. Watson, Sweeney Todd and Mr. Hyde when they're on stage.

So, despite being a relatively new outfit on the East Yorkshire music scene, their experience means that at the drop of a hat they can dip into their vast back catlogue - be it modern pop like Oasis, Queen or Blur to rock 'n' roll like Chuck Berry and Elvis.

They invited me along to the Queen's Head in Hedon to sample their gig for myself and it was everything they promised and more! What surprised me most was the slickness of it all, this is obviously something that comes with having over eight hundred and forty years of experience between them! The vast range of music is also something that has to be heard to be believed, they belted out all the classics like 'I Predict A Riot', 'You've Really Got Me', and even my old theme tune, 'Burning Love'.

A good night was had by all, and I recommend you go and see them if you can!
