Mike Brown meets 80's Luke

This is me with comedy host 80's Luke.

Luke was my guest prior to the launch of a new comedy night in Hull.

So, first things first I thought as a larger than life character wearing an hawaiian shirt entered the studio, what's with the name?! Luke told me that the name came about because of his love of all things 80s, and rightly so! Think about it, the 80s brought us great music, great tv shows and some great comidians too, all of which has inflenced Luke to be the stand-up that he is today. In particular, his routine has certian aspects of his most loved comics Tommy Cooper, French & Saunders and Peter Kay about it.

Luke told me that as well as presenting on a community radio station in Manchester called ALL FM 96.9, he's also appeared in the Channel 4 comedy series "Shameless" as a radio presenter.

Luke is Mancunian, but don't hold that aginst him, anyone who travels across the pennines as much as him deseves a medal or should we give the recognition to his Dad who plays taxi anytime Luke performs outside of Manchester? Luke of course is indebted to the support his family continually give him, his Dad can often be seen sat in the front row at his gigs! Maybe that's the payment?
