Mike Brown meets The 45s

Me in the studio with Knocker, Lee, Alex and Joe from The 45s.

I was first tipped of about The 45s by Paul Ashworth who had seen them at a near-by holiday park. He told me that they played 60s music from the likes of The Who, The Stones, and The Beatles and were due to play in Withernsea, ''right, we'll get 'em in'' I said!

I was a little surprised when Knocker, Lee, Alex and Joe came into the studio as Paul had told me that the 45s played 60s stuff, so I was expecting some denim weaing middle aged geezers! In actual fact, we had 4 youthful lads who were really passionate about the mod music after it had "worn off" on them from their parents and other bands that they'd all performed in.

They told me that their energetic sets bring back the raw sound that a lot of the bands back then had and this had led to them being runners-up in Yorkshire's Talent Trail 2008.
