What's on stage at Bridlington Spa

Final few days for a free swim at East Riding Leisure

Free swimming sessions for all children aged 16 and under comes to an end on Sunday, 7 April. Take advantage of the free offer at any of the following centres:

  • Withernsea

Something for the foodies

Pocklington Food & Drink Festival: Pocklington town centre will be the home of a bustling Food & Drink Festival this April. Taking place on 20-21 April and based in the heart of the town centre, stalls will line Market Place, leading to a stage and seating areas in St Peter's Square.

Set to be an exciting and fun-filled weekend, visitors can experience the best of the local food and drink scene, with street foods, bars of distinction, alfresco dining, select grocery food and craft, alongside live music, comedy and children's entertainment.

This event is once again being delivered by the Market Square Group Ltd, a specialist events company with significant experience of running events, in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Coffee and crime at Sewerby Hall on Saturday, 27 April: At this storytelling event, renowned criminal psychologist, guest lecturer, radio host, podcaster and author Linda Sage will take you through the doors of the UK's most high profile institutions and allow you to soak up the atmosphere inside.

Linda spent forty years working in England's top category prisons with some of the UK's most notorious criminals, including the Krays, Peter Sutcliffe and Myra Hindley. Her storytelling events not only surprise and shock but leave audiences with a deeper understanding of the workings of criminal minds and the inner workings of the British justice system. Whatever your interest in true crime, this is NOT one to miss!

Running time: 2 hours + short interval

Bridlington Kite Festival 2024: taking place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2023, kites of all descriptions, sizes and colours will take to the air for two days of aerial displays over Sewerby Fields.

The festival will run from 10am-5pm both days and is free to attend. Visitors can arrive in style on the land train which runs between Sewerby Hall & Gardens and East Riding Leisure Bridlington every half an hour. For more information visit www.bridlingtonkitefestival.co.uk

Canine Carnival to return to Sewerby Hall and Gardens in September: following a successful event in 2023, the Canine Carnival returns to Sewerby Hall and Gardens on Sunday, 15 September 2024. The Canine Carnival is hosted in partnership with Jerry Green Dog Rescue and will run from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Normal admission prices for Sewerby Hall and Gardens will apply, on the day or by prior online booking - dogs will be free of charge. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the house and zoo.
