It's less than 5 weeks until the biggest event in the East Riding's calendar.

This year the Driffield Show has so much going on you won't know where to go first. There will be all the traditional activities and displays including livestock, horses, showjumping, horticulture, handicrafts, dog show, food and drink area, over 300 tradestands and Atkinsons Action Horses. But the Driffield Agricultural Society are also bringing you lots of new and exciting activities for this year to make it a show to remember!

Covid regulations are no longer in place across the country but after listening to comments from visitors and exhibitors last year Driffield Show organisers have decided to once again  cap visitor numbers each day, maintaining the wider avenues and making the showground as open and welcoming as possible.  This decision does mean that to enable visitor numbers to be closely monitored all tickets for each day of the Driffield Show are only available in advance and once again online only via the Show’s website – www.driffieldshowground.co.uk.

David Tite said,

“Last years Driffield Show was a success for all involved and we learnt some great lessons putting the event on, more space was wanted by all attending and we were able to deliver this by widening the alleyways, capping the attendance each day and by reformatting a lot of the larger marquees and spaces.

Following on from this experience 2022 will maintain a lot of the positives experienced by our visitors and traders, giving traders more time to focus on the individual customer without the added pressure to move them on, and allowing the visitor to enjoy a leisurely day moving around the stands, exhibits and activities. This will also lessen the impact on those not attending the days, with more manageable traffic flows around the site.”

Now in its 146th year the Driffield Show will again combine its winning formula of celebrating the regions agricultural heritage whilst also taking the time to embrace new and exciting developments. With many new attractions and activities being planned for 2022 Show organisers are proud that Driffield Show will still be the Show that has ‘something for everyone’. There will be plenty of opportunities for those enjoying a spot of retail therapy, with the aim to have the usual 300+ tradestands to choose from, ranging from lifestyle and fashion to crafts and local produce. All entertainment, livestock and equine classes will be split across the two days so do not worry whichever day you chose to visit the Show you will not miss out.
