A wide range of services and activities will be on offer in the East Riding of Yorkshire Council marquee at this year's Driffield Show, on 20 and 21 July.
Inside the council marquee, visitors will be able to find out about a career in adult social care; have a Boditrax scan to learn about their health; and learn about the support people can access to live independently.
Children will be able to take part in STREAM activities (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) from East Riding Libraries, which will include a Lego table and coding sessions.
The council's 0-25 SEND team will also be on hand to give advice to parents and carers around SEND assessments and plans and will have lots of activities to keep children busy, including a calm area.
Outside the marquee, the fostering team will have a treasure hunt; there will be class demonstrations from the instructors at East Riding Leisure; and the waste and recycling team will have a pop-up Re-Use shop from Dove House Hospice.
Now in its 146th year, Driffield Show will again celebrate the region's agricultural heritage, whilst also taking the time to embrace new and exciting developments. With many new attractions and activities this year, there will be plenty of opportunities for those enjoying a spot of retail therapy, with over 300 trade stands to choose from, ranging from lifestyle and fashion to crafts and local produce. All entertainment, livestock and equine classes will be split across the two days.
