April 04, 2024

The daughter of a missing woman has told Sky News that the family are "all desperate to find her".

Police Scotland has launched a search for Angela Keenan, 58, who has been reported missing from Lenzie in East Dunbartonshire.

Ms Keenan was last seen in the town's Laxton Drive area at around 7am on Tuesday.

Her daughter, Erin McGowan, described her mother as a "very high-risk vulnerable missing person".

Speaking to Sky News, the 25-year-old said: "Her disappearance is out of character. This has never happened before.

"We have searched everywhere we can possibly think of. We have no idea where she could possibly be.

"We are all desperate to find her and get her home."

Ms McGowan, from Paisley, said the mum-of-four enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandson.

She is "very kind and generous", according to Ms McGowan, who added: "She always thinks of other people before herself. She's just such a good-hearted person and an amazing mum."

Ms Keenan is believed to be travelling in a black Kia Venga, with the registration SD63 VLL.

She is described as slim, around 5ft 4in tall, with blonde hair that is usually tied back in a ponytail.

She is thought to be wearing a black puffer jacket, black jeans, grey bootleg slippers and silver bangles on her right wrist.
